Well, last weekend we celebrated two things. Margaux turned
two years old and we found out what the gender of baby number 2 is.
I’ll start with the first one.
Margaux turned two years old. Can you believe it has been that long? She went
for her check up and she is 36 inches tall and just over 30 lbs. She is
advanced in language and social skills. She told her pediatrician about going
to the beach and seeing the fish. Needless to say, we were able to put a check
next to “strings 3 words together to communicate”.
We celebrated her birthday with a
small group of friends at a local gymnastics studio. It was sooo much fun. The
kids ran crazy and had the best time. There were face plants left and right,
but the springy floor and padding had them jumping right up and running again
in the blink of an eye. Every one had a great time and many parents got a good
nights sleep with some worn out little ones.
As I mentioned before we also
announced the gender of baby number two. I did not know the gender of the
child. Matt was the only person who knew and he did not tell a soul. This
agitated some folks, but he kept the gender super secret from when he found out
on Monday till Saturday. He filled a box with balloons and we had Margaux open
it and that is how Mommy and the rest of the world found out WE ARE HAVING A
BOY! It was fun and I was very surprised. So it appears that Margaux is having
a baby brother.
